We are located on one of the oldest ranches in the state of Colorado, and have over 30 years of experience as a Colorado outfitter offering horseback riding, hunting guides, fly fishing tours, and elk hunting in the breathtaking Sangre de Cristo Mountains. We provide all meals, tents, horses, and saddles required for your Colorado outfitting adventure. Depending on your experience level, our staff will also teach you how to saddle and mount your horse and they will provide you with all other necessary knowledge and skills for your excursion.
Bear Basin Packtrips is based out of the Bear Basin Ranch, 20 minutes away from Westcliffe, CO and about 1.5 hours southwest of Colorado Springs. The ranch has 3,500 acres of undeveloped country landscape and many buildings over 100 years old. This creates a unique atmosphere for the trips with a sense of history and natural beauty surrounding our guests. This unique location in the least populated county of Colorado provides for the best high-quality, scenic, and memorable horseback riding Colorado experience.
