Due to the June, 2013 Royal Gorge Fire, all Royal Gorge Horseback Rides have been suspended. Rides have been relocated to the Bear Basin Pack Trip Ranch. We are proud to report that all 17 horses were successfully recovered from the Royal Gorge area. The fire roared through, but somehow skipped one small patch of trees where our horses took refuge. Covered in soot an pine pitch, all survived are are in good health. We have relocated these miracle horses back to the Bear Basin Pack Trips’ ranch. 40 minutes away from the Royal Gorge, our horses are out of harm’s way and are are looking forward to taking families through the pristine Sangre de Cristo Mountains.
